Renato Sanches has ruled himself out of Man United move with his "emotional" football comments

Renato Sanches may have likely ruled himself of a move to Manchester United - at least while Jose Mourinho is in charge.

The Bayern Munich wonderkid, who has previously been linked with a move to Old Trafford, has been on the radar of every top club since his performances for Portugal during Euro 2016.

United missed out on signing the midfielder, then of Benfica, as he made the move to the Bundesliga and put pen to paper with the reigning champions.

But they haven't abandoned all hope of ever bringing the 19-year-old to the Theatre of Dreams... although they might just do so now.

In a recent interview with 11teamsportsTV, Renato discussed his style of play and the type of football he enjoys.

When asked if he would rather be a part of a 1-0 win - Man United boss Mourinho's preference as it

suggests an organised team sticking to and executing his plan to secure a safe result - or a 5-4 victory, his reply may have left a lot to be desired.

"I would choose 5-4 because it is much more emotional," explained the Portugal international.

"This result is more entertaining, especially for the fans. As a player I can say that it is also more spectacular for us, of course."

Sanchez was also asked to pick between Ronaldinho and Zinedine Zidane as the player he preferred while growing up.

He replied: "I prefer Ronaldinho, because he was absolutely my idol in my youth.

"Before I went on the pitch I always watched videos of him when I was around 13, 14, 15 years old, and he was always my favourite player!"
