Senate Passes Buhari’s Anti-Corruption Bill

The Nigerian Senate on Tuesday passed an executive bill seeking mutual assistance in criminal matters between Nigeria and foreign states.

The bill, Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters between Nigeria and other Foreign States, 2017 (SB. 224) was read for the third time at plenary and eventually passed.

Senate President, Bukola Saraki said the passage of the bill would bring confidence to foreign investors and strengthen the Senate support of the Executive in fighting corruption.

If this becomes actualized, it means many corrupt politicians will be going down the drain.....
