Yaya Toure leaves Kelechi Iheanaco red-faced over man of the match mix-up following Man City's win at Hull

Kelechi Iheanacho had a good day as Manchester City beat Hull, scoring the Blues' second goal in their 3-0 win.

But he was left red-faced by teammate Yaya Toure after the game, as the Ivorian collected his man of the match award from Sky Sports.

The midfielder, recalled in recent weeks after being frozen out at the start of the season, turned in a typically industrious display, capped with the opener from the penalty spot, his 10th successive successful spot-kick in the Premier League.
And it earned him the accolade from broadcaster Sky Sports... but what followed was an awkward exchange with the young striker.

Before being handed the award, Toure explained how his son had told him he would score on Boxing Day.  TO watch the video click here
So when he was presented with the man of the match, the former Barcelona man said: "Oh nice, thank you very much, I will give it to my boy then."
Poor Iheanacho, who had presumably daydreamed through his teammate's heart-warming tale, assumed Toure was donating the award to him.
"No, it's not you, my boy!" came the retort, leaving the Nigerian more than a little confused.
On the pitch, the duo's strikes were added to by a late own-goal to give City their 3-1 victory and move them to within seven points of pace-setters Chelsea.
